Good-bye Ugly Kitchen Remodel for Resale

"Good-bye ugly kitchen," said the homeowners after the green laminate and badly wallpapered kitchen was demoed and down to bare bones. This home was on the market for almost 3 months with no offers and very negative feedback about the kitchen. When we were asked to update the kitchen for resale the goal became to neutralize and warm up the space. We wanted to bring in high-end materials such as granite and stainless steel to help the home become an equal contender with the other homes for sale in this $699,900 price range. No wonder they weren't getting offers! The homeowners didn't want to spend the money to replace all of their appliances so we picked a St. Ceclia granite that had a lot of black in it to unify the space. A warm taupe colored tumbled marble back splash was installed to replace the old glossy white tiles and a new stainless steel sink and faucet fixture added shine to the elegant bar and prep area. We picked a warm golden color for the walls and replaced all of the gold hardware with black wrought iron knobs. The before and after pictures are dramatic!"
