Victorian Bathroom Remodel

It is always so exciting to help clients accomplish their ideal space. This was
the case with our last project. The homeowners had lived in their carpeted,
one-sink master bath for over 10 years and they finally decided to make a
change. We removed the old flooring, vanity, light fixtures and tile and started
from scratch. We brought in an antique wooden vanity with marble top, two creamy
porcelain sinks and antique bronzed faucets. The floors, back splash and shower
were covered in brown porcelain tiles of varying sizes and angles. We extended
the tile shower walls all the way to the ceiling for added protection of the
drywall and to accentuate the tall ceilings. Light was always a problem in this
room--not enough of it! So, all of the light fixtures were replaced with
high-end bronzed fixtures with a slight tuscan flare. The wallpaper boarders
were taken down and the walls were covered in a warm champagne color that
brightened up the space while unifying the colors from the tiles. Accessories
were brought in the form of silk window treatments, new towels, and plush ornate
rugs. The new look is dramatic and luxurious. We hear from the homeowners that
all of the neighbors want to update their bathrooms now!
